thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those
in authority…" (1 Timothy 2:2)
Pray for good voter turnout with positive engagement amongst
Christians.
Pray that potential leaders would be inspired and trained to
step up and make a difference in their communities and our country.
Pray particularly for Christian politicians at this time that
they might serve with integrity, truth and wisdom.
Pray that our churches will see politics as a mission field
(a recent EA survey showed that nine out of ten voters want to see
more Christians getting involved in party politics).
Pray for credibility amongst politicians.
Pray that our politicians pursue the common good (particularly
amongst the poor, the vulnerable and those caught up in human
trafficking) and make policies that bring about positive change.
Pray that our politicians ensure religious liberty and freedom
of speech.
Pray for the protection of all Christians involved in politics
at any level.
